Happy Wags Children's Programs

At Happy Wags Training & Behavior we offer two Children's Programs.

These programs are ideal for Scout Troops, Clubs, School classrooms or can be taken individually. Contact us for the availability of these programs.

Pet/Dog Safety and Care

This is a lecture program for elementary age children. The children will learn how to take care of a pet or dog, receive the Pet Care Diary, participate in discussion about pets and dogs, how to properly approach a dog, and what to do if a dog is going to bite. This program does not require a dog and is given at no cost.

Training Dogs with Kids

This program teaches children how to communicate with, understand, and train their own pet dogs. The children will learn how to take care of their pets, basic obedience, tricks, and games to play with dogs. An adult or parent must accompany the child and dog. Dogs can be of any age, but must be at least 8 months old. Classes are once a week for 5 weeks.
